Torpeedo Run

My God for free this game is absolutely wonderful. At age 68 I hate it when game producers add layers and layers of high tech stuff to show off their ability to do so.

This game, or at least the original version I’ve been playing for the past year is wonderful in its simplicity. At first I had difficulty getting a score over 100,000 but over time I’ve gotten much better and can reach 500,000 or more when I’m playing well. (high score of 920,000) Warning: If you reach these score levels the game will take over an hour.

As you reach higher levels it does get more difficult at times. But that can be part of the fun and there should be a challenging aspect to any game. The game ends if you take 6 hits or allow 5 ships to escape. The version I have deserves at least a 4 rating. Anything less than that would be unfair to the programmers.

Note: The version I’ve been playing does not have mines or planes. So the positive rating I’ve given here may not apply to what is currently available.
